Rollyo ~ Week 5, Thing 12

One of the rollyo's that I found was set up to search only World of Warcraft sites. I couldn't wait to try this one out. I did a search for the Warlock Felsteed mount. My character is only level 24, but I can hardly wait get my Felsteed. For those that don't play WoW, it looks like a Nightmare. Everyone wants a Nightmare, right?

The search returned relevant results immediately. It's nice to not have to wade through various pages that are full of filler. This would be an excellent tool to use on the library's website. We could make a list of sites that are helpful for... Genealogy, maybe... And then patrons could search sites, chosen by us, that do not require you to pay to conduct your searches. We could then do the same for gaming sites, legal sites... There are many possibilities!

I'm thinking of creating one for name generators. I always need creative names for pets, WoW characters, or even characters for stories that I'm writing. It's hard to believe how many sites are out there with baby names on them, but I'm always looking for something different with lots of meaning. Having one search engine that would search only the best sites would be fantastic!

It's a Library Thing ~ Week 5, Thing 11

I've actually used Library Thing before. A co-worker told me about it. My current list was around 30 when I logged back in. I added a few more titles, so I'm just over 40 now. It's a nice way to keep track of all the books that you've read. I tried to keep a list in a notebook over the past few years and have since started neglecting it. Maybe this is my queue to get back on track. I like that it offers you book reviews and suggestions. Both are always a plus. The message boards are fun to read, too.

The Making of a Meez ~ Week Five, Thing 10

This morning I made my own Meez at http://www.meez.com/. This is probably the most fun I've had in the 23 Things Program. Unfortunately, many of the items I wanted required money. I refuse to pay real money for shoes made of pixels. Couldn't they give a girl at least one pair of nice black boots for free? Black boots are essential! I made myself into a vampire, full moon, fangs, and all! I wanted the bat wings, too, but again... You had to pay for them. I also had some minor problem with the window not showing all of the items and acting strangely if I have been trying on lots of things (backgrounds, etc.). They were all minor problems, though, and I highly recommend everyone trying this out. I love it!! I even added it to my myspace. ;)
